Dear Mr. Hamilton,

I just came across your Web page on Alexander Hamilton. I’m in the process of verifying Alexander Hamilton’s skill as a writer, so the resources listed on your site will be very helpful. Thank you.

On one page you mention a submarine named for Hamilton. You might also be interested in recognizing Hamilton College, which was originally founded as the Hamilton-Oneida Academy in 1793 and was later chartered as Hamilton College in 1812. Hamilton lent his name to our college and was an original trustee. A statue of him is featured prominently on campus. This link will take you to a brief history of the college which outlines Alexander Hamilton’s early association with the college: http://my.hamilton.edu/assets/pdf/catalogue.pdf

If you’d like, I can get you a photograph of the Alexander Hamilton statue on the Hamilton College campus. Sincerely,

Mike Debraggio
